Round sphere with fish, a resin repro of the beech wood carvings (1938) by M.C. Escher, a systematic level distribution based on triple rotation. Because the sphere has no beginning or end, this was the ideal shape for Escher's infinite systems.

Escher sphere of Fish (1938)

Round ball with fish, a reproduction made of resin from the original beech wood carvings from 1938 of MC Escher.  A systematic distribution on the basis of three-fold rotation. Because a sphere has no beginning or end, this was the ideal shape for Escher's 'infinite' systems.

This sphere with fish was his first, and personal favorite model.
Diameter 7 cm.
