Albrecht Durer (1427-1528)
Graphic artist, painter and theoretician who formed an important link between Northern and Southern European art and who is regarded as the founder of German High Renaissance.

Degas, Edgar (1834-1917)
Together with Monet the founder of French Impressionism, famous for the innovative composition of his paintings and for his later sculptures, especially those of dancers.

Jean-Antoine Houdon (1741-1828)
The most famous Neo-Classicist portraitist of the 18th century, who created famous anatomical studies during his training in Rome.


Franz Xaver Messerschmidt (1736-1783)
An idiosyncratic, recalcitrant German sculptor who created his famous series of 'character heads' first in Vienna and later in Bratislava.




Leonardo Da Vinci (1452-1519)
Da Vince spent a lot of time studying the shape and in particular also the movement of horses, one of nature's wonders. And in his opinion, nature was the mistress of all masters.

The Vitruvian Man is a world-renowned drawing created by Leonardo da Vinci around the year 1487.[1] It is accompanied by notes based on the work of the famed architect, Vitruvius. The drawing, which is in pen and ink on paper, depicts a male figure in two superimposed positions with his arms and legs apart and simultaneously inscribed in a circle and square.
