Yellowcast Bronzes: Sealife
Our bronzes are cast in terracotta using the "Lost Form" method. That means that the terracotta mould is destroyed after casting. Therefore each piece, in this model, is different from every other, is, in effect, unique. Small irregularities or imperfections in the metal are caused by the alloys and traditional casting method which has been in use, unchanged, for over 2000 years. Museum pieces, such as Buddha sculptures or cult artefacts have also been created using this method. Our silver bronzes have been silver plated with sterling silver after casting.
Helpful suggestions: The silver plated bronzes must not be cleaned with silver cleaning materials. Light polishing with soft cotton, or viscose, is recommended. This will bring out the best surface shine. No polishing at all makes them even more beautiful or authentic.
