Ant Auntie
Auntie is an ant with the determined stride of someone carrying far more responsibility than her size would suggest. With her head held forward, her legs stretched out and her body kept low to the ground, she appears to be crossing the room on urgent business. Her red shoes prove that efficiency and good style do not have to be separate matters.
Handmade:
Each Auntie is cast in marble resin with metal details, then carefully released from the mould, trimmed and sanded by hand. Brown, coral, blue and black-and-white patterns are painted in layers across her elongated body, following the rounded abdomen and slender legs. The face, antennae and shoes are carefully finished where the design becomes especially delicate. Every line is painted freehand, ensuring that no two Aunties are exactly alike.
