LIGHTING DESIGN ELENA GRAURE-MANTA

Enllighting  glass art

The very talented designer Elena Graure Manta is already 25 years
International Glass Artist with an academic background in glass and porceleinkunst. She has a vast experience in all kinds of glass applications. Elena exhibits all over the world and various winning designs are housed in museums. So she exhibited in the Netherlands in the bag museum in Amsterdam and other artistic creations in Glass Museum Jan van der Togt in Amstelveen. In the latter museum are designed by her glass slippers. On glass area, it has a great craftsmanship.

She studied for glass and porcelain artist Klausenburg (Romania). She now lives and works for many years in Erftstadt (Germany), near Cologne. Graure-Manta operates solely in her own studio.

The glass objects Graure-Elena Manta recognize both objects from everyday life as pure fantasy. So she made a series of glass shoes and handbags. Besides taking glass "fancy cars" recently in an increasingly prominent place in her work. The glass objects in Manta-Graure are very colorful and contain many details, what each object is unique and exciting.

In 1985 she received the "Preis für Moderne Glasgestaltung Coburg Glass" and has since exhibited Graure-Manta around the world (including USA and Japan), but mainly in Germany.

Museum Jan van der Togt , Amstelveen

Elena is a master in producing cutting-edge style lighting from the glass substrate. The lighting elements with the greatest care and love created and that all her personal signature, hold grave degree. Her lamps that look like a handbag complete with a lamp. When this is ignited, the light through the shades and Paton of the glass are filtered and transformed into a handbag, the atmospheric lighting.

Deco Vista has five different versions purchased, each in a different color and shape, including the models shown here. Because the craft is there may be detail differences.
